Louis Vuitton Drops Vintage Band Tee

Louis Vuitton Drops Vintage Band Tee

The Louis Vuittons. You might have heard of them, but they’re quite new to the rock scene, and to spread the word they’ve just dropped a new merch tee. Indeed, the famed French fashion house Louis Vuitton is getting its rock on with the LV Concert Print T-shirt, a piece that plays on vintage band tees and the accompanying graphics that announce a band’s tour.

While we all know that Louis Vuitton is looking for a new frontman, this hasn’t stopped the current creative design team from channeling the late Virgil Abloh‘s highly-referential approach to design. Here, a black top is printed with a white graphic, depicting a crowd attending The Louis Vuittons‘ gig — depicted in typography quintessential of ’80s, ’90s and noughties rock, punk and indie bands who often placed their moniker atop a scratched-out poster effect.

Bringing in Louis Vuitton cues is the bouquet of roses on the stage and, found on the reverse of the neck, the Louis Vuitton-branded neck tag which is made from brown leather.

Take a look at the LV Concert Print T-shirt above, and purchase the piece from Louis Vuitton’s merch stall for £590 GBP (approx. $676 USD).
